520		3	_aAim: The aim of this study is to compare the maintenance requirements of PEEK-composite versus metal-ceramic tooth-implant supported restorations. Materials and methods: This is a randomized, controlled clinical trial with a split mouth technique. The trial included 12 patients (24 subjects). Patients were symmetrical Kennedy class I, intended to receive one implant in the molar region, then a three unit fixed partial denture connecting one molar implant to one premolar natural tooth was constructed on each side. For each patient, one side will be restored with composite veneered to PEEK restoration, while the other side will be restored with PFM restoration. The patients were recalled on 6,12 and 18 month for inspection. The occurrence of technical complications or lack of were recorded, tabulated and statistically analyzed. Results: The result of the analysis showed that, there is no statistical significance of the outcomes between the two groups regarding veneering material fracture, loss of cementation, and screw loosening/fracture. Conclusion: Both metal ceramic and PEEK composite are viable options for restoring fixed tooth implant supported partial dentures in kennedy class I cases in short follow up period of 18 months. Neither of the materials aforementioned showed superiority in reducing prosthetic complications in TISP cases.
520		3	_aالهدف من المقارنة كان لقياس تكرار متطلبات الصيانة في حالات زرع متصل بالأسنان المتمثلة في الفحص السريري لكسر مادة القشرة، وفقدان الالتصاق، وفك/كسر المسمار في أطقم الأسنان الثابتة الجزئية في حالات كينيدي من الفئة الأولى والتي تم ترميمها إما باستخدام البورسلين المنصهر بالمعدن أو مادة بييك كمبوزيت في هذه التجربة السريرية العشوائية الخاضعة للرقابة باستخدام تقنية تقسيم الفم، تم تضمين 12 مريضًا (24 حالة). كان لدى المرضى درجة كينيدي متناظرة من الدرجة الأولى. لكل مريض، سيتم ترميم جانب واحد بمادة البيك بقشرة كمبوزيت. سيتم ترميم الجانب الآخر بمادة المعدن بقشرة خزفية. تم استدعاء المرضى بعد 6،12 و 18 شهرًا للفحص. تم تسجيل حدوث المضاعفات التقنية أو عدم وجودها وتبويبها وتحليلها إحصائيا خلصت نتيجة التحليل إلى أنه لا توجد أهمية إحصائية للنتائج بين المجموعتين فيما يتعلق بكسر مادة القشرة، وفقدان الالتصاق، وفك/كسر المسمار يعد كل من السيراميك المعدني ومادة البيك خيارين قابلين للتطبيق لترميم أطقم الأسنان الثابتة المدعومة بزرع متصل بالأسنان في حالات فئة كينيدي الأولى في فترة متابعة قصيرة مدتها 18 شهرًا. ولم تظهر أي من المواد المذكورة تفوقا في الحد من مضاعفات الجسور الاصطناعية في حالات زرع متصل بالأسنان.
