Recognizing the inherent risks in the construction industry, especially in complex projects, the study emphasizes the importance of effective risk management. The framework includes risk identification, analysis, response, and monitoring. Through extensive literature reviews and surveys, the research identifies and assesses 20 specific risks in power plant construction, such as delays in material supply and construction time, currency devaluation, inflation, and contractor handover issues. The risks are categorized into five classes, prioritized by significance. Proactive and contingency actions are proposed for each risk. Applied to a real power plant project, the framework's validity is confirmed by comparing results with actual project data. The study concludes by highlighting the need for comprehensive risk management studies across all construction projects to bridge the gap between academic research and practical market needs. | |
