| 520 | 3 | _aAim: The aim of the study is to assess and compare the depth of dentinal penetration of AH plus Resin sealer when used in cold lateral compaction technique versus Ceraseal Bioceramic sealer when used with single cone technique and MTA Angelus total obturation. Scanning electron microscope was used in assessment of the depth of dentinal penetration of sealers in single rooted teeth. Materials & methods: 57 single rooted premolars with single canal were prepared with Protaper Next rotary system up to X4 and after each instrument change, canals were irrigated with NaOCl t h e n the canals were irrigated with EDTA for removing the smear layer. Finally, the canals were rinsed with distilled water to purify the remnant of previous solutions. The sample was divided randomly into 3groups (n=19) according to the root canal filling material and the technique used. The 3 groups were filled with AH Plus Resin sealer and cold lateral compaction technique, Ceraseal bioceramic sealer and single cone gutta percha, or totally filled with MTA Angelus. After setting, the roots were split into two halves and one of the two halves was used for examination. Notches were formed on each half of root at 2, 5, and 8 mm using a scalpel then specimens were placed in 17% EDTA for 15 seconds then rinsed with distilled water for 15 seconds, air-dried slightly, and dehydrated in an incubator. After preparation, the maximum, and the average depth of sealer penetration was calculated using the Scanning electron microscope. Results: For all the studied regions (coronal, middle and apical): MTA total obturation group showed the highest mean of penetration. While, AH Plus resin sealer with cold lateral compaction technique achieved the lowest penetration with a highly significant difference between the three groups at the coronal and middle thirds. For the apical third, there was no significant difference between the Ceraseal Bioceramic sealer with single cone technique and AH Plus resin with cold lateral compaction technique while MTA total obturation group showed a significant difference in relation to the other two groups. (P-value < 0.001). Conclusion: MTA total obturation group showed the highest mean of penetration at all thirds. While, AH Plus resin sealer with cold lateral compaction technique achieved the lowest mean of sealer penetration. | |
| 520 | 3 | _aطريقة البحث: تم جمع سبع و خمسون من الاسنان البشرية احادية الجذور المستخلصة و تحضيرها بواسطة نظام الحماية الدوراني التالي و تم ريها باستخدام هيبوكلوريت الصوديومEDTAواخيرا تم ريها بالماء المعقم.كل العينات تم تجفيفها و تقسيمها الي ثلاث مجموعات بناء علي نوع المواد المستخدمة في حشو الجذور و طبقا لطريقة الحشو اما استخدام AH Plus resin sealerمع الحشو الجانبي البارد, Cerasealbioceramic sealerمع تقنية المخروط الواحد او حشو الجذور بالكامل باستخدام MTA.تم تخزين العينات عند درجة حرارة 37 لمدة اسبوعين ثم تم تقطيع العينات طوليا الي نصفين و ريها باستخدام %17EDTAلمدة 15 ثانية و ماء معقم لمدة 15 ثانية ثم تجفيفها و استخدام واحد من احدي النصفين لقياس عمق الاختراق عند ذروة الجذر, منتصفة و عند القامة باستخدام Scanning electron microscope. النتائج : اظهر حشو الجذور بالكامل باستخدام MTAأفضل اختراق للMTAداخل جدار الاقنية الجذريةبينما اظهر AH Plus resin sealerمع تقنية الضغط الجانبي البارد اقل اختراق داخل جدار الاقنية الجذرية مع وجود فرق احصائي بين الثلاث مجموعات عند قمة ومنتصف الجذر.عند ذروة الجذر: لم يكن هناك فرق احصائي بين AH Plus resin sealerمع تقنية الضغط الجانبي و Cerasealbioceramic sealerمع تقنية المخروط الواحد، بينما اظهر حشو الجذور بالكامل باستخدام MTAفرق احصائي بين المجموعات الاخري عند قمة الجذر الخلاصة: اظهر حشو الجذور بالكامل باستخدام MTA أفضل اختراق داخل الاقنية الجذرية عند قمة ومنتصف وذروة الجذر بينما اظهر AH Plus resin sealerمع تقنية الضغط الجانبي البارد اقل اختراق داخل جدار الاقنية الجذرية. | |
