520 _a108 vegetables samples were collected randomly fromlocal market of shubra El Khmia Kalubia governorate and green house during the period from July 2002 to June 2003 , six fresh samples from local market (iecucumber , pepper , tomato , potatoes , squash , and lettuce) and 3 fresh samples from green house (iecucumber , pepper and tomato) The methods were directed to detect 6 - pesticide (iechloropyrifos , dimethoat , malathion , methomyl , abamectin and chlorfenapyr) residues and the results All studied vegetable samples from local market and green house were contaminated with the three organophoshorus pesticide (chloropyrifos , dimethoat and malathion) and the percentage of violation in these pesticides (chloropyrifos , dimethoat and malathion) residues in green house samples of the three commodities were higher than that of local market samples , All surveyed vegetables from local market were contaminated with methomyl residues and the percentages of contamination
