520 | _aThe fine waster resulying from grinding of kiln rollers was tested for chemical and mineralogical composition. It was gradually added to standard wall tiles mix in proportions ranging from 2% to 10%. The samples were pressed into slabs at 27 MPa, drying then firing at temperatures ranging from 1050 to 1150 {u00B0}C for up to 15 minutes. Their physico-mechanical properties were then investigated and results interpreted in the light of XRD and SEM findings. It was found that it is possible to add this waste at 1 or 2% level to wall tiles bodies without impairing its properties | ||
