520 _aA total of 200 ready-to-eat food samples which delivered to reference laboratory for veterinary quality control on poultry production from different places were examined for the presence of Salmonella spp. and Listeria monocytogenes, they included 31 RTE meat and meat products, 31 RTE poultry and poultry products, 18 RTE fish, 50 pasteurized milk and milk products, 35 RTE vegetables, 5 RTE salad sause, 5 RTE whole meal (sandwiches), 25 heat treated (cooked) foods. Salmonella spp. was detected in 7% of the samples. The serovars of isolated Salmonellae were S.Enteritidies, S.Typhimurium, S.Rechvot, S.Fillmore, S.Chincol, S. Warnow, S.Calabar, S.Fulda and S.Virchow. L. monocytogenes showed lower incidence than Salmonella spp. in RTE foods (2.5% of the examined samples).
