520 _aThe aim of this study is to assess the short and long term effects of laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) on body weight and glucose homeostasis in morbidly obese diabetic patients. Methods: That study was conducted on 40 patients, for the evaluation of LSG on body weight and glucose homeostasis Results: Resolution incidence was 13 patient (32.5%), 27 patients (67.5%), 32 patients (80%) and 32 patients (80%) at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 12 months postoperatively, respectively. Conclusion: Our study showed that the LSG is associated with a high rate of resolution of T2DM at 12 months after surgery in severely obese subjects with T2DM
