520 _aGynecomastia is the benign enlargement of the male breast and sid to occur in 40 - 65% of men.Gynecomastia can lead to feelings of shame and embarrassment. There are many surgical options for the treatment of gynecomastia. In this study, the literature concerning the different surgical techniques of Gynecomastia was reviewed. Gynecomastia frequently occurs in response to an increased production and /or activity of estrogens and a decreased production and/or activity of testosterone. Increased sensitivity of the breast tissue to estrogen (because of a defect at the receptor level) may also lead to the development of gynecomastia, at which time the development of changes occurs despite the proper concentration of these hormones in the blood.
