| 520 | _aThis work studied the performance of passively Q- switched solid-state laser pumped by different techniques and their effect on the pulse repetition rate of laser system. The simplified rate equation model provides a simple and fast tool for laser designer to develop calculations of pulse energy, peak power and width. A modified rate equations model had been numerically investigated. In order to control and time stabilize the pulse repetition rate, the pulsed pumping was studied. To increase the stability of laser system, an automated pulsed pumping technique had been proposed.
