520 _aSeparation of wastewater at source point may enable greywater (GW) to be reused for non - potable purposes as landscape irrigation, toilet flushing and laundry washing. Population increase is associated with increasing freshwater demand. North Africa and mediterranean basin is among the poorest areas in the world in terms of water resources. Technologics must be developed urgently to manage wastewater in order to close the loop for water demand. Among the options for innovative water resources, is the separation of wastewater source to blackwater and greywater to be reused for decentralized areas as a sustainable approach
