520 _aComputer knowledge and skills are becoming essential components technology in nursing education. Egyptian nurses must be prepared to utilize these technologies for the advancement of science and nursing practice in local and global communities. The study aimed at assessing the students{u2019} readiness for using computer assisted learning in the Faculty of nursing, Cairo University. A descriptive exploratory design was utilized. A convenient sample of all the undergraduate students of each level of academic years in the Faculty of nursing in Cairo university was used; a total of 404 students returned the questionnaire, representing 45% response rate. A questionnaire was developed through the researcher based on recent literature review. Findings of the study showed that the majority of students (91.1%) participated in the study had computer at home and use it. Concerning anxiety stimulus of the students toward using computer assisted learning, only (15%) of the participated students reported that they had severe anxiety toward using computer assisted learning. The study showed that more than half of the participated students (68.8%) agreed that they had high positive attitude toward using computer. This study concluded that majority of students had positive attitudes towards using computers as learning tool in nursing education. Variables such as age gender and computer ownership did not influence on the student's attitude toward computer assisted learning. Recommendation: Educational institutions should strengthen and continue to build computer knowledge and skills among the students
