520 _aUltrasound is used to assess early signs of inflammation and monitoring disease activity and progression. MRI is used to assess inflammatory and degenerative changes in JIA. The aim of this study was to correlate Ultrasound and MRI data to assess knee joint cartilage thickness and enthesitis in JIA children. The study included 25 Egyptian children diagnosed as having JIA, all following up at pediatric rheumatology clinic, Cairo university hospitals. All the enrolled subjects were clinically and laboratory evaluated. We used disease Activity Score of 28 joints (DAS-28) and Wallace criteria to evaluate disease activity. Our study showed positive correlation between synovial hyperemia in U/S and synovitis in MRI in both knees with p-value(0.001) in right knee and (0.027)in left knee
