520 _aPurpose: The current study was conducted to determine effect of exercise therapy on pain alleviate and improvement of range of movement after temporomandibular joint arthrocentesis. Patients and Methods: Experimental design study was conducted with thirty patients who needed TMJ arthrocentesis after failed conservative nonsurgical treatment. Patients with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)- confirmed TMJ closed lock .They recruited from Tesfa Integrated Health Unit, Isneet Integrated Health Unit and Kuwaiti Hospital Specialist in BenhaQalyubia Governorate. The study group composed of thirty patients with TMJ disc displacement without reduction. Group B (control group): composed of 15 patient who werenot started on a physiotherapy program after the arthrocentesis procedure. Physiotherapy included 4 weeks exercise program. Patients were followed for 3 months. Range of maximal mouth opening (MMO) and joint pain as measured by the visual analog scale (VAS).Treatment sessions were conducted from May 2018 to Mars 2019. Results: There was significant improvement in pain, range of mouth opening. There was a significant increase in MMO in group A when compared with group B. There was a significant decrease in VAS in group A when compared with group. Conclusion: Therapeutic Exercise after arthrocentesis has significant effect on range of mouth opening and pain decrease
