520 _aThis work has been carried out seeking for the proper uses of rice straw instead of its bad disposing via open burning which affects the environment, health and economic aspects. In this context, the new zinc (lignin /silica /fatty acids) complex derived from rice straw, was utilized as an antioxidant and activator in rubber composites. In addition, the novel non-toxic semi-natural antibacterial cyanoacetyl microcrystalline cellulose was utilized to prepare safe azo disperse dyes then the new dyes were utilized for silk screen printing polyester and nylon 6 fabrics. In addition, antibacterial membranes were prepared by the blending of novel nontoxic semi-natural antibacterial biodegradable cyanoacetyl microcrystalline cellulose with cellulose acetate
