Background : workplace abuse in the health organization is a significant source of stress that negatively influences the well-being of nurses and the quality of their nursing care. Aim: this study aimed to assess nurses perception about job abuse and their absenteeism rate in outpatient clinics. Study design: Descriptive / correlation design was conducted at two outpatient clinics affiliated with health insurance organization in Giza EL haram & Gezeret EL Dahab. Sample The study sample was recruited from the above-mentioned outpatient clinics. It consisted of all available the staff nurses actually on the active work in the outpatient clinics. Tool of data collection: Nurses perception questionnaire was used to assess nurse's perception about job abuse, it divided into two main parts: self-administrated questionnaire sheet for nurses, nurses perception and nurses absenteeism estimation check list. Results: the study results were apositive correlation between absenteeism rate of nurses and their perception toward job abuse. The study concluded that high absenteeism rate was in January while the lowest was in June, the mean of absent was due to interrupt annual vacation and sick leave, and there was a positive correlation between absenteeism rate of nurses and their perception toward job abuse. Recommendation: the study recommended that the concept of job abuse types and perpetrators should be included in continuing education to the nurses and administrators should spend more time in communicating with their nursing staff regarding what is happening in their organization and job abuse
