This thesis is concerned with the analysis of fourantidiabeticdrugs, Canagliflozin (CAG) and Empagliflozin (EMG) (sodium glucose co-transporter II inhibitors), Linagliptin (LIG) (Dipeptidyl peptidase IV inhibitor) and Metformin HCl (MEF) (Biguanide agent).The selected drugs were analyzed in the pure form, in laboratory prepared mixtures, in a dosage form or in the biological fluid.Ratio difference coupled with modified isosbestic point and amplitude modulation spectrophotometric methodswere proposed for the simultaneous determination of CAG and MEF.While EMG and LIG were estimated simultaneously by applying ratio subtraction coupled with extended ratio subtraction spectrophotometric methods. Also chemometric- assisted FTIR spectrophotometric method was applied for the determination of (EMG/LIG) in binary mixture. A HPLC-MS/MS method was developed for the simultaneous quantification of LIGand MEF in spiked human plasma coupled with solid phase extraction using alogliptin as an internal standard. The developed method was applied for the evaluation of potential pharmacokinetic interactions between the two drugs in healthy human volunteers
