Children with hemiparetic cerebral palsy experience fine<br/>motor and cognitive deficits.Fine motor skill is a component, which<br/>supports emotional, social and cognitive development.Cognition is a term<br/>referring to the mental processes involved in gaining knowledge and<br/>comprehension. Purpose: To study the correlation between different<br/>aspects of cognitive abilities and fine motor skills at different ages in<br/>children with hemiparesis.Subjects: Eighty-five children of both sexes<br/>with spastic hemiparesis ranging in age from 6 to 8 years participated in<br/>this study. Fine motor abilities were assessed by Quality of Upper<br/>Extremity Skills Test (QUEST) whereas; Cognitive abilities were<br/>assessed using rehacom system.Results: The correlation between fine<br/>motor skills and cognitive abilities measurements was weak positive<br/>significant correlation with reaction control (r = 0.260, p = 0.016),<br/>moderate positive significant correlation with working speed (r = 0.351, p<br/>= 0.001) and was strong positive significant correlation with working<br/>memory (r = 0.786, p = 0.001). The correlation between fine motor skills<br/>and other cognitive abilities was weak negative non significant<br/>correlation with reaction speed (r = -0.110, p = 0.316) and with attention<br/>(r = -0.092, p = 0.403); and was weak positive non significant correlation<br/>with neglect hemianopia (r = 0.124, p = 0.259) and with logical<br/>reasoning (r = 0.031, p = 0.778). Conclusion:These outcomes revealed<br/>that there was significant correlation between fine motor skills and<br/>cognitive abilities including; reaction control, working speed, working<br/>memory and there was non significant correlation with other cognitive<br/>abilities including; reaction speed, attention, neglect hemianopia, logical<br/>reasoning in children with hemiparetic cerebral palsy |

تهدف هذه الدراسة الي دراسة العلاقة بين القدرات المعرفية والمهارات الحركية الدقيقة لدى الأطفال المصابين بالفالج الشقى.<br/>المشاركون : خمسة وثمانون طفلا من كلا الجنسين مصابين بالفالج الشقى تراوحت أعمارهم بين 6 و 8 سنوات. <br/>مقاييس النتائج الرئيسية : تم تقييم القدرات الحركية الدقيقة من خلال اختبار جودة مهارات الأطراف العلوية حيث ؛ تم تقييم القدرات المعرفية باستخدام نظام ريهاكوم. <br/>النتائج: أظهرت النتائج الرئيسية لهذه الدراسة أن العلاقة بين المهارات الحركية الدقيقة وقياسات القدرات المعرفية كانت علاقة ارتباط معنوي إيجابي ضعيف مع التحكم في التفاعل (r = 0.260 ، p = 0.016) ، ارتباط معنوي إيجابي معتدل مع سرعة العمل (r = 0.351 ، p = 0.001) وكان ارتباطا معنويا إيجابيا قويا مع الذاكرة العاملة (r = 0.786 ، p = 0.001). <br/>كان الارتباط بين المهارات الحركية الدقيقة والقدرات المعرفية الأخرى ارتباطا سلبيا ضعيفا غير معنوي مع سرعة رد الفعل (r = -0.110 ، p = 0.316) ومع الانتباه (r = -0.092 ، p = 0.403) ؛ وكان ضعف الارتباط الإيجابي غير معنوي مع إهمال hemianopia (r = 0.124 ، p = 0.259) ومع التفكير المنطقي (r = 0.031 ، p = 0.778). <br/>الخلاصة: استنتج ان هناك علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين التحكم في رد الفعل وسرعة العمل والذاكرة العاملة والمهارات الحركية الدقيقة. من ناحية أخرى ، كانت هناك علاقة سلبية ضعيفة غير معنوية بين سرعة رد الفعل والانتباه والمهارات الحركية الدقيقة ، وكانت هناك علاقة إيجابية ضعيفة غير معنوية بين إهمال نصف النظر والتفكير المنطقي والمهارات الحركية الدقيقة. <br/> |
