Summary, etc. | The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of a program<br/>based on AI applications and codes in developing and enhancing research<br/>writing skills and self-regulation skills for the third year university students in<br/>MSA University. The participants in this study were sixty undergraduate<br/>students from the third year, who were randomly selected from MSA University<br/>–Faculty of languages in the year 2022-2023. The study employed a mixed<br/>sequential explanatory research design of two phases quantitative data<br/>collection followed by a qualitative one. Quantitative data were collected<br/>through administering the Pre-post Test of Students’ research writing, self-<br/>regulation scale and Student’s Self-Evaluation of research Writing Performance.<br/>Qualitative data included analyzing data collected from online reflection paper<br/>to reveal their opinion. The findings of the study revealed that the experimental<br/>group students scored significantly higher than those in the control group on<br/>EFL research writing skills test, mainly those of narrowing down a title,<br/>summarizing, paraphrasing, writing well developed content, writing free of<br/>language mistakes and using proper APA in text and full text citation . The<br/>findings of the study showed a remarkable improvement in the experimental<br/>group rather than the control group in self-regulated skills too mainly in setting<br/>their goals, managing their time , and evaluating their own work. |

Summary, etc. | هدفت هذه الرسالة إلى تنمية مهارات البحث العلمي و التنظيم الذاتي لطلاب اللغة الإنجليزية بجامعة أكتوبر للعلوم الحديثة و الآداب باستخدام تطبيقات الذكاء الإصطناعي. و قد تكونت مجموعة البحث من ستين طالب و طالبة من السنة الدراسية الثالثة ، الذين تم اختيارهم عشوائيا من جامعة أكتوبر للعلوم الحديثة و الآداب .و قد استخدمت الباحثة التصميم شبه التجريبي باستخدام مجموعتين (تجريبية وضابطة) وقد اتبعت الدراسة المنهج المختلط حيث مرت الدراسة بجمع البيانات الكمية تليها النوعية. وقد تم إعداد أدوات البحث و تشمل: قائمة مهارات البحث ، اختبار قبلي و بعدي، دليل رصد الدرجات، استبيان للتنظيم الذاتي و التقييم الذاتي لكتابة البحث و من ثم التحليل النوعي لآراء الطلاب و تقيمهم الذاتي لأنفسهم . و قد أشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى تميز طلاب المجموعة التجريبية و حصولهم على نتائج أعلى من طلاب المجموعة الضابطة و خصوصا في مهارات اختيار عنوان البحث الدقيق، التخليص، الكتابة بصيغة آخرى، كتابة محتوى جيد، وكتابة التوثيق بشكل جيد. كما أشارت نتائج الإستبيان إلى تميز طلاب المجموعة التجريبية في تطبيق استراتيجيات التنظيم الذاتي أكثر من المجموعة الضابطة خصوصا في تحديد أهدافهم، إدارة وقتهم، وتقييم أعمالهم . |
