| Summary, etc. | Finite mixture models have been used for many years, but have seen a real<br/>boost in popularity over the last decade due to the tremendous increase in available<br/>computing power. The areas of application of mixture models range from biology<br/>and medicine to physics, economics and marketing.<br/>Truncated distributions are quite effectively used where a random variable is<br/>restricted to be observed on some range and these situations are common in various<br/>fields. For example, in life testing and reliability, right truncated exponential<br/>distribution are proposed for modeling the lifetime distributions of items such as<br/>electronic components, light bulbs and so on.<br/>In many applications, the available data can be considered as data coming<br/>from a mixture population of two or more distributions. This idea enables us to mix<br/>statistical distributions to get a new distribution carrying the properties of its<br/>components.<br/>In this thesis, a new four-parameter lifetime distribution, called Mixture of<br/>right truncated exponential and right truncated weibull (MTEW) distribution is<br/>introduced. This distribution is obtained by mixing right truncated exponential<br/>distribution (RTED) and right truncated weibull distribution (RTWD).<br/>and It's density function can be unimodal and left skewed. Also, the hazard rate<br/>function of this distribution can be increasing and decreasing according to different<br/>values of parameters .<br/>Additionally, Some statistical properties of the new distribution such as<br/>quantile function, moments and moment generating function are derived.<br/>For estimating population parameters, the maximum likelihood technique is used.<br/>An approximate confidence interval is constructed. Simulation issue as well as<br/>application to real data are provided |

| Summary, etc. | وتهدف هذه الرسالة الي تقديم توزيع جديد عبارة عن خليط من التوزيع الأسي المبتور من ناحية اليمين مع توزيع وايبل المبتور من ناحية اليمين<br/>تم دراسة خصائصة الإحصائية وتقدير معالم التوزيع بإستخدام طريقة الإمكان الأعظم بالإضافة إلى حساب فترات الثقة علاوة على ذلك تم دراسة مجموعة من البيانات الحقيقية لتوضيح مرونة التوزيع بإستخدام بعض المقاييس الإحصائية. <br/>وتتكون هذه الرسالة من أربع أبواب وملخصيين أحدهما باللغة العربية والآخر باللغة الإنجليزية وقائمة المراجع<br/>وفيما يلى عرض لمحتويات أبواب الرسالة:<br/>الباب الأول:<br/>يشمل المقدمة الرئيسية للرسالة والتي تحتوي علي مقدمة عامة توضح أهمية تكوين توزيعات جديدة وعرض لما سيتم دراسته في شكل توضيح مختصر لابواب الرسالة وما تحتويه<br/>الباب الثانى:<br/>يعرض بعض التعريفات الهامة والتي يتم التطرق إليها كمفهوم خلط التوزيعات , التوزيعات المبتورة , دالة الصلاحية ، دالة الفشل ، العزوم، دالة Quantile وغيرها و تقدير المعالم بطريقة دالة الإمكان الأعظم ، بعض خصائص التقدير وبعض المقاييس الإحصائية. <br/>الباب الثالث:<br/>تم عرض أهم الدراسات السابقة المرتبطة بالتوزيعات المختلطة والتوزيعات الاحتمالية المبتورة <br/>الباب الرابع:<br/> تناول تقدير معالم التوزيع الجديد من خلال طريقة الإمكان الأعظم للمعالم الاربعة وكذلك حساب التقدير بفترة وحساب فترات الثقة وايضا دراسة سلوك هذه المقدرات من خلال الدراسة العددية لاحجام عينات مختلفة وبعض القيم المختارة للمعالم وعرض هذه النتائج في جداول <br/>وتوضيح النتائج العددية من خلال بعض الرسومات التوضيحية. كما تم دراسة مجموعة من البيانات الحقيقية لتوضيح مرونة التوزيع بإستخدام بعض المقاييس الإحصائية.<br/> |
