Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.)-Cairo University, 2023. Summary: This thesis includes the investigation of Zinc cobalt doped Phosphate glasses with a chemical composition 45P2O5- 4Co3O4– (11+x) Na2O - (40-x) ZnO where (x= 0, 2,4,6,8 and 10mol %) where prepared by the conventional melt – quenching technique. The prepared samples were characterized using X- Ray diffraction (XRD), and U-V Optical absorption, Fourier – Transform Infrared (FTIR) and physical properties investigation. From these measurements, we found that all composites have optical filter behavior in the VIS,UV and IR regions, also ZnO enhances phosphate chains and cohesion of glass structure due to the replacing of P-O-P bonds by Zn-O-P bonds.Summary: تتضمن هذه الرساله فحص لنظام كوبلت الفوسفات المطعم بالزنك بنسب مختلفه تتغير من 40 الى 30 مول %. وتم اخضاع العينات التى تمت تحضيرها الى عده قياسات منها حساب الكثافه و الحجم المولارى و حيود الاشعه السنيه ومقياس الطيف بالاشعه الفوق بنفسجيه وطيف فورييه للتحليل باللاشعه تحت الحمراء واظهرت النتائج مدى فاعليه هذا النوع من الزجاجللاستخدام كمرشح ضوئى واستخدامها فى تطبيقات صناعيه واسعه

This thesis includes the investigation of Zinc cobalt doped Phosphate glasses
