Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) -Cairo University, 2024. Summary: n the rapid transition of healthcare, it is imperative for nurse interns to respond rapidly to evolving technologies, as they are newcomers and future nurses to provide patients with good quality of care, and to stay relevant in the competitive market. One such technology is artificial intelligence (AI). Aim: The study aimed to assess nursing interns’ perception about artificial intelligence applications in nursing. Study design: A descriptive exploratory design was utilized in this study. Sample: A convenience sample of ٤٢٠ nurse interns who were enrolled at the academic year ٢٠٢٢- ٢٠٢٣. Setting: This study was carried out at different intensive care units at Cairo University hospitals where nurse interns were trained. Tools: Two tools were used to collect the study data as follows: (١) Personal and work-related data form and (٢) Artificial intelligence technology questionnaire. Results: the main findings illustrated that the highest percentage (٤٧٫٥٪ ) of nursing interns had a low level of total perception about AI applications in nursing, more than one-third (٣٤٫٨٪ ) had a moderate level, while the lowest percentage (١٧٫٧٪ ) had a high level of total perception about AI applications in nursing. Conclusion: accordingly, it can be concluded that nurse interns of Faculty of Nursing, Cairo University generally had a low perception about AI applications in nursing across all dimensions, with the highest mean percentage related to attitudes and feelings toward AI. Recommendations: Increase nursing interns' awareness and preparedness by providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to work effectively with AI systems and incorporate AI into nursing curricula.Summary: ﻓﻲ ظل اﻟﺗﺣول اﻟﺳرﯾﻊ ﻟﻠرﻋﺎﯾﺔ اﻟﺻﺣﯾﺔ، أﺻﺑﺢ ﻣن اﻟﺿروري أن ﯾﺳﺗﺟﯾب ُﻣَﻣرﺿﻲ اﻻﻣﺗﯾﺎز ﺑﺳرﻋﺔ ﻟﻠﺗﻛﻧوﻟوﺟﯾﺎ اﻟﻣﺗطورة ﻣن ﺣوﻟﮭم، ﻓﮭم اﻟﻘﺎدﻣون اﻟﺟدد وﻣﻣرﺿو اﻟﻣﺳﺗﻘﺑل وذﻟك ﻣن أﺟل ﺗﻘدﯾم رﻋﺎﯾﺔ ذات ﺟودة ﻋﺎﻟﯾﮫ ﻟﻠﻣرﺿﻰ، واﻟﺑﻘﺎء ﻋﻠﻰ ﺻﻠﺔ ﺑﺎﻟﺳوق اﻟﺗﻧﺎﻓﺳﯾﺔ. وﻣن إﺣدى ھذه اﻟﺗﻛﻧوﻟوﺟﯾﺎ اﻟذﻛﺎء اﻻﺻطﻧﺎﻋﻲ . اﻟﮭدف: ھدﻓت اﻟدراﺳﺔ إﻟﻰ ﺗﻘﯾﯾم إدراك ُﻣَﻣرﺿﻲ اﻻﻣﺗﯾﺎز ﻟﺗطﺑﯾﻘﺎت اﻟذﻛﺎء اﻻﺻطﻧﺎﻋﻲ ﻓﻲ ﻣﺟﺎل اﻟﺗﻣرﯾض. ﺗﺻﻣﯾم اﻟدراﺳﺔ: ﺗم اﺳﺗﺧدام ﺗﺻﻣﯾم اﺳﺗﻛﺷﺎﻓﻲ وﺻﻔﻲ ﻓﻲ ھذه اﻟدراﺳﺔ. اﻟﻌﯾﻧﺔ: اﺷﺗﻣﻠت ﻋﯾﻧﺔ اﻟدراﺳﺔ ﻋﻠﻲ ﻛل ُﻣَﻣرِﺿﻲ ِّ اﻻﻣﺗﯾﺎز ﺑﻛﻠﯾﺔ اﻟﺗﻣرﯾض ﺟﺎﻣﻌﺔ اﻟﻘﺎھرة اﻟﻣﺗﺎﺣﯾن اﺛﻧﺎء ﺗﺟﻣﯾﻊ اﻟﺑﯾﺎﻧﺎت و اﻟﻣﺳﺟﻠﯾن ﺑﺑرﻧﺎﻣﺞ اﻻﻣﺗﯾﺎز ﻟﻠﻌﺎم اﻻﻛﺎدﯾﻣﻲ ٢٠٢٢ / ٢٠٢٣و وﻗد ﺑﻠﻎ ﻋددھم (٤٢٠). اﻟﻣﻛﺎن: أﺟرﯾت ھذه اﻟدراﺳﺔ ﻓﻲ وﺣدات اﻟﻌﻧﺎﯾﺔ اﻟﻣرﻛزة اﻟﻣﺧﺗﻠﻔﺔ ﻓﻲ ﻣﺳﺗﺷﻔﯾﺎت ﺟﺎﻣﻌﺔ اﻟﻘﺎھرة ﺣﯾث ﺗم ﺗدرﯾب اﻟﻣﺗدرﺑﯾن ﻓﻲ اﻟﺗﻣرﯾض. اﻷدوات: ﺗم اﺳﺗﺧدام أداﺗﯾن ﻟﺟﻣﻊ ﺑﯾﺎﻧﺎت اﻟدراﺳﺔ ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﻧﺣو اﻟﺗﺎﻟﻲ: (١) اﺳﺗﻣﺎره اﻟﺑﯾﺎﻧﺎت اﻟﺷﺧﺻﯾﺔ واﻟﻣﺗﻌﻠﻘﺔ ﺑﺎﻟﻌﻣل و(٢) اﺳﺗﺑﯾﺎن ﺗﻛﻧوﻟوﺟﯾﺎ اﻟذﻛﺎء اﻻﺻطﻧﺎﻋﻲ. اﻟﻧﺗﺎﺋﺞ: أظﮭرت اﻟﻧﺗﺎﺋﺞ اﻟرﺋﯾﺳﯾﺔ أن أﻋﻠﻰ ﻧﺳﺑﺔ (٤٧.٥%) ﻣن ُﻣَﻤِّﺮﺿﻲ اﻻﻣﺗﯾﺎز ﻟدﯾﮭم ﻣﺳﺗوى ﻣﻧﺧﻔض ﻣن ِ اﻹدراك اﻟﻛﻠﻲ ﺣول ﺗطﺑﯾﻘﺎت اﻟذﻛﺎء اﻻﺻطﻧﺎﻋﻲ ﻓﻲ ﻣﺟﺎل اﻟﺗﻣرﯾض، وأﻛﺛر ﻣن ﺛﻠﺛﮭم (٣٤.٨%) ﻟدﯾﮭم ﻣﺳﺗوى ﻣﺗوﺳط، ﻓﻲ ﺣﯾن أن أﻗل ﻧﺳﺑﺔ (١٧.٧%) ﻟدﯾﮭم ﻣﺳﺗوى ﻣرﺗﻔﻊ ﻣن اﻹدراك اﻟﻛﻠﻲ ﺣول ﺗطﺑﯾﻘﺎت اﻟذﻛﺎء اﻻﺻطﻧﺎﻋﻲ ﻓﻲ ﻣﺟﺎل اﻟﺗﻣرﯾض. اﻟﺧﻼﺻﮫ: وﻓﻘﺎ ﻟذﻟك، ﯾﻣﻛن اﻻﺳﺗﻧﺗﺎج أن ُﻣَﻤِّﺮﺿﻲ اﻻﻣﺗﯾﺎز ﻓﻲ ﻛﻠﯾﺔ اﻟﺗﻣرﯾض ﺑﺟﺎﻣﻌﺔ اﻟﻘﺎھرة ﻟدﯾﮭم ﻋﻣوًﻣﺎ إدراك ﻣﻧﺧﻔض ﺣول ﺗطﺑﯾﻘﺎت اﻟذﻛﺎء اﻻﺻطﻧﺎﻋﻲ ﻓﻲ اﻟﺗﻣرﯾض ﻋﺑر ﺟﻣﯾﻊ اﻷﺑﻌﺎد، ﻣﻊ أﻋﻠﻰ ﻧﺳﺑﺔ ﻣﺗوﺳطﺔ ﺗﺗﻌﻠﻖ ﺑﺎﻟﻣواﻗف واﻟﻣﺷﺎﻋر ﺗﺟﺎه اﻟذﻛﺎء اﻻﺻطﻧﺎﻋﻲ. اﻟﺗوﺻﯾﺎت: زﯾﺎدة وﻋﻲ ُﻣَﻤِّﺮﺿﻲ اﻻﻣﺗﯾﺎز واﺳﺗﻌدادھم ِ ﻣن ﺧﻼل ﺗزوﯾدھم ﺑﺎﻟﻣﻌرﻓﺔ واﻟﻣﮭﺎرات اﻟﻼزﻣﺔ ﻟﻠﻌﻣل ﺑﺷﻛل ﻓﻌﺎل ﻣﻊ أﻧظﻣﺔ اﻟذﻛﺎء اﻻﺻطﻧﺎﻋﻲ ودﻣﺞ اﻟذﻛﺎء اﻻﺻطﻧﺎﻋﻲ ﻓﻲ ﻣﻧﺎھﺞ اﻟﺗﻣرﯾض.
