Forty nine adult male Wister albino rats were adapted on the basal diet for one week and then divided into 7 groups and fed on (i) a standard (0.5% Ca and 0.1% Na, basal diet), (ii) low Ca diet (0.10% Ca with normal Na), (iii) high Ca diet 1.5% Ca with normal Na
