Renin-angiotensin system modulators (ACEIs, ARBs) are widely used in practice and possess a favorable toxicity profile. Increasing reports implicates the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system in the pathogenesis of many chronic inflammatory and fibrotic disorders. Accordingly this work was designed to detect any possible beneficial effects of two of renin angiotensin system modulators namely enalapril and telmisartan on animal models of inflammatory bowel disease IBD
