Antibioties have an improtant role in the treatmant of many infectious diseases. The market is in an ever-growing demand for new antibioties that can address the emerging threat of antibiotic resistance. Many quinazoline derivatives possess different biological effects including anti-infective activities. Several 2,4 diaminoquinazoline derivatives were reported to have potent activity against MRSA. Moreover, it was found that several 2-thioguinazolin-4-one derivatives have dignificant activity against mycobocteria
