Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and dental medicine - Department of Prosthodontics Summary: Results: There was a statistically significant increase in median PES post-operatively (P-value = 0.003, Effect size = 4.179), mean PES pre-operatively was 8.09 (0.94) that increased to 12.09 (0.94) six months postoperative the difference was statistically significant (P {u2264} 0.05), mean implant stability immediately postoperative was 66.45 (1.57) that increased to 75.55 (2.5) six months postoperative the difference was statistically significant (P-value <0.001, Effect size = 3.971). (P {u2264} 0.05). There was a statistically significant increase in mean bucco-palatal dimensions postoperatively at the coronal, middle as well as apical levels, (P-value <0.001, Effect size = 0.983), (P-value <0.001, Effect size = 0.925) and (P-value <0.001, Effect size = 0.969), respectively. Mean bucco-palatal dimensions pre-operatively at the coronal, middle, apical levels were 8.86 (1.47), 11.02 (1.61), 13.8 (1.97) respectively that increased to 10.5 (1.39), 12.54 (1.66), 15.26 (2.05) respectively six months postoperative. While, There was no statistically significant difference between mean amounts of change in bucco-palatal dimensions at the coronal, middle and apical levels compared with each other (P-value = 0.303, Effect size = 0.112). where the mean SD values were 1.64 (0.23), 1.53 (0.46), 1.46 (0.27) respectively (P {u2264} 0.05)
