Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Commerce - Department of Business Administration Summary: This research tends to explore the different possibilities of attaining the desired well - being through discovering the purpose of life for individuals trying to cope in life Since burnout research stresses the importance of engagement at work to beat stress , in our research contribution will be building engagement at work through finding purpose in life The reason behind this effort , is that population sample participating are Egyptian sales representatives and sales directors from seven districts in Egypt It was found that the culture of those participating is affecting the work outcomes , as the multinational organizations try to impose their multinational , globalized systems upon those who are not familiar with the concept that lies behind it and thus blindly follow the instructions with least resistance to join the race The imposed systems were not tailored to fit the Egyptian culture and thus ensemble the employees mentalities , creating stress This stress was deliberately ignored by many while others were able to create coping behavioral skills because of certain personality characteristics and cultural beliefs and traditions
