It also aimed to investigate the validity of the factorial structure of the Keyes model for positive mental health and mental illness in the early and middle stages of adulthood. The scales were used to collect data from a sample of 600 adults, both male and female, whose ages ranged from 22 to 60 years. The results of the study revealed a decrease in positive mental health indicators and an increase in symptoms of mental illness in the early adulthood stage compared to the middle adulthood stage. The results of the study also revealed that validity of the factorial structure of the two-factor model of positive mental health and mental illness in the early and middle stages of adulthood.
