Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Endodontics Summary: Aim of study: The aim of study is to compare the bond strength of a biocermic-based sealer, a mineral trioxide aggregate-based sealer and an epoxy resin {u2013}based sealer to dentine when treated with different irrigation protocols. Material and methods: 90 freshly extracted straight single rooted human teeth, The roots were randomly divided into three main experimental groups according to the final irrigation regimen as follows: Group I (n=30): after complete instrumentation of prepared canals they were irrigated by 10ml of 2.6%(NaOCL) sodium hypochlorite and 5ml of distalled water. Group II (n=30): prepared canals were irrigated by 5ml of 2.6% NaOCL followed by 5ml of 17%(EDTA) then followed by 5ml distilled water for 1 min. Group III (n=30): prepared canals were irrigated by 5ml of 2.6% of NaOCL followed by 5ml of water then 5ml of 2% (CHX) Chlorohxidin. Each group was subdivided into three subgroups according to the sealer material to be used, as followed: - {uF0FC}Sub group A (n=10): Biocermic-based sealer (i Root SP). {uF0FC}Subgroup B (n=10): Epoxy resin {u2013}based sealer cement (AH Plus). {uF0FC}Sub group C (n=10): Mineral trioxide aggregate-based sealer (MTA Fillapex). One horizontal section of 2mm thickness, each was cut from middle thirds of each root were sliced to perform push out bond strenght measurement
