Background{u02D0} gated myocardial perfusion spect (g-spect) is considered as one of the best techniques for the combined evaluation of the myocardial perfusion and the left ventricular ejection fraction (lvef) within a single study. sufficient count density in the cine frames is a necessary for best myocardial perfusion images quality while g- spect synchronized with the subject{u2019}s electro cardio gram (ecg) is also necessary to identify the temporal phases of the cardiac cycle. the variation in the cardiac cycle duration may cause fluctuation of the adjacent frames count which compromises the quality of perfusion image and decrease ef accuracy. this study investigates the factors (arrhythmia and gating errors) that affecting the perfusion images quality and decrease the ejection fraction (ef) accuracy. Methods{u02D0} this study were performed on fifty-two patients classified into two groups 35 nonarrhythmic patients (group 1) and 17 arrhythmic patients (group 2). each patient will have two consequent stress g-spect acquisitions one of them will be taken with time dependant projections (tdp sec), and the other with accepted beats projections (abp). then we calculate lvef for both acquisitions and compare them with echocardiogram ef. then we compare the g-spect perfusion images with the non- gated spect perfusion images
