The present study is concerned with the issue of translating modality in the Holy Qur'an through the analysis and evaluation of renditions of different types of modality in three target texts. The analyzed corpus is composed of twenty Qur'anic verses that contain direct communicative discourse as samples to be investigated. This investigation is based on both quantitative and qualitative techniques. A questionnaire was used as a supplementary tool that could provide the researcher with evaluative notes of professional translators and academic scholars
