The current research aims to examine the effectiveness of a program based on brain-based learning in developing critical reading comprehension skills for English majors at the Faculty of Education, Bani-Sweif University. The quasi-experimental procedure was conducted on a sample of (50) second year students, English Department. While the experimental group students were taught using brain-based learning program in developing critical reading comprehension skills , the control group students were taught by regular way.The research used several research tools: an achievement test - a list of critical reading comprehension skills and designed the program with brain-based learning principles and selected strategies. After conducting the program and research tools pre and post, the results showed that there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of students of the experimental group and the control group in the post application to test achievement of critical reading comprehension in favor of the experimental group. There was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the students of the experimental group in favor of the post-test. It concludes that the effectiveness of the brain-based learning program is more than the magnitude of the impact is very large
