Summary, etc. Aim: To evaluate the effect of two superstructure materials (all ceramic versus hybrid ceramics) on implant stability, patient satisfaction, crestal bone loss and peri-implant gingival health in implant supported restorations.<br/>Methodology: Twenty two single implant supported crowns with either IPS Emax (Group EM) or Vita Enamic crowns (Group VE) were placed in the maxillary premolar region. After osseointegration period (4months post implantation), implants were exposed using a diode laser, cover screws removed and replaced by a healing collar of proper size followed by temporization. Conventional implant closed tray impressions were executed, to determine the exact implant position for fabrication of implant superstructures. The crown retention of the implant superstructures were combined screw and cement retained restorations. This design of the crown was done virtually, using exocad software, after extraoral scanning of the poured casts. The restorations were milled, individualized and stained according to manufacturer’s instructions. Extra-oral cementation using self-cure resin cement of the milled crowns on the titanium abutments, with proper removal of excess cement was accomplished. Implant stability was measured using an OSSTELL implant stability device immediately, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 12 months after placement of the crown. After crown placement on the implant, radiographs were taken immediately, 6 months and 12 months after crown placement using CBCT. Peri-implant gingival health (Gingival Index GI, Bleeding Index BI, Probing depth PD) was recorded during the follow up periods given. Patient satisfaction was recorded using a visual analogue scale during the follow up periods allocated. Data were collected, tabulated, and statistically analyzed.<br/>Results: Implant stability values demonstrated increase in values with function especially with Vita Enamic crowns, with statistically significant difference between both materials at 12-month follow up interval. Patient satisfaction scores were higher for IPS emax CAD with statistically significant difference at 12-month follow up interval. Clinical peri-implant gingival health assessment (Gingival Index, Bleeding on probing and Probing depth) and radiographic crestal bone loss outcomes owed no statistical difference between both superstructure materials.<br/>Conclusion: Vita Enamic crowns presented no negative effect on peri-implant gingival health, crestal bone loss or implant stability, when used to restore implants in the aesthetic zone. Both approaches performed likewise regarding clinical and radiographic parameters.<br/>
