Summary, etc. | This study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of using the task analysis approach in developing linguistic and teaching skills among the EFL in-service teachers of the primary stage in Egypt. The participants of this study were thirty EFL in-service teachers chosen from public schools, Al-monofeya Governorate, during the second term of the 2023/ 2024 academic year. The study employed the quasi-experimental design in which one group (n=30). The instruments of the study were comprised of needs analysis questionnaire; EFL in-service teachers’ teaching and linguistic performance evaluation checklist cards; a linguistic and teaching performance Pre-posttest and a scoring rubric. The test was administered to the group before and after implementing the proposed program based on the task analysis approach on the study group as the findings of the study results reveal significant improvements in all sub-skills of both linguistic and teaching performance for EFL in-service teachers, demonstrating the effectiveness of the Professional Development Program based on the Task Analysis Approach |
