Summary, etc. The study aimed to explore the effect of a program based on English for specific<br/>purposes for developing writing skills of the technical commercial institute<br/>students. To meet this end, the study adopted the quasi-experimental design<br/>including 150 first year students from the general section of the technical<br/>commercial institute in Shoubra, Cairo. All 150 students responded to a needs<br/>analysis questionnaire designed to identify their academic needs. From this group<br/>50 students were selected to begin the program and participate in testing. The study<br/>utilized a needs analysis questionnaire, a writing skills checklist, a writing skills<br/>test, and a scoring rubric. The findings of the study showed the effect of the<br/>proposed enrichment program based on ESP in developing writing skills (content<br/>and organization, vocabulary and language use, and grammar and mechanics of<br/>writing) though business letters and emails.

Summary, etc. هدفت الدراسة إلى قياس فاعلية تصميم وتطبيق برنامج إثرائى مقترح قائم على مدخل الإنجليزية لأغراض خاصة لتنمية مهارات الكتابة لدى طلاب المعاهد الفنية التجارية، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة اتبعت الباحثة المنهج شبة التجريبى، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من 150 طالب وطالبة، من الصف الأول بالمعهد الفنى التجارى بشبرا (الشعبة العامة)للمشاركة فى الاستبيان. أيضاً، تم اختيار 50 منهم لتطبيق البرنامج الإثرائى المقترحوالمشاركة فى الاختبار. استخدمت الباحثة استبيان لتحليل احتياجات مهارات الكتابة، وقائمة لمهارات الكتابة باللغة الإنجليزية المناسبة لطلاب الصف الأول بالمعهد الفنى التجارى، واختبار مهارات الكتابة مصحوباً بمقياس تقدير متدرج. أشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى أثر البرنامج الإثرائى المقترح القائم على مدخل الإنجليزية لأغراض خاصة لتنمية مهارات الكتابة (المحتوى والتنظيم، و الكلمات، والقواعد وآليات الكتابة) من خلال الرسالة التجارية ، والبريد الإليكترونى لدى طلاب المعاهد الفنية التجارية.
