| Summary, etc. | Background: Adequate bone health is so important during <br/>adolescence for optimal skeletal development. Dietary inorganic <br/>phosphorus, particularly from food additives, has raised concerns about <br/>its impact on bone health biomarkers. <br/><br/>Methods: A cross-sectional analytical study involving 76 healthy <br/>adolescents aged 11-19 was conducted. Participants underwent <br/>comprehensive assessments of socio-economic characteristics, <br/>anthropometry, depression screening and serum concentrations of <br/>calcium, phosphorus, alkaline phosphatase, and vitamin D. <br/>Results: The participants exhibited diverse socio-economic <br/>backgrounds, with a mean BMI of 30.51±7.85. Most were females <br/>(64.5%), with varied education levels. Hyperphosphatemia was observed <br/>in 59.2% of cases. Calcium levels averaged 9.87±0.39 mg/dL, with <br/>14.5% having elevated levels. Mean ALP was 165.33±116.53 IU/L, with <br/>47.4% showing high levels. Vitamin D deficiency was prominent <br/>(78.9%), and correlations were observed between phosphorus, calcium, <br/>and ALP levels. <br/>Conclusion: Our study highlights the complex relationships <br/>between dietary inorganic phosphorus and bone health biomarkers and <br/>the presence of vitamin D deficiency among adolescents. |

| Summary, etc. | ان زيادة استخدام المواد المضافة من الفوسفات غير العضوي في منتجات الأغذية تثير مخاوف حول التأثيرات الصحية المحتملة. هذه المواد المضافة، التي تزيد من محتوى الفوسفور في الأطعمة، قد تؤدي إلى زيادة استهلاك الفوسفور والمخاطر الصحية المرتبطة به. في حين يفيد الفوسفور العضوي من مصادره الطبيعية في تعزيز صحة العظام، قد يكون استهلاك الفوسفور غير العضوي بشكل مفرط له عواقب سلبية. ان نسبة الفوسفور إلى الكالسيوم هي مؤشر لصحة العظام. يتم إضافة الفوسفات الغير عضوي إلى الأطعمة لأسباب متعددة، ولكن استهلاكها المفرط بسبب التوافر البيولوجي الأعلى قد يؤدي إلى مشكلات صحية محتملة. ينبغي لمقدمي الرعاية الصحية تشجيع اختيار أطعمة الفوسفور ذات التوافر البيولوجي المنخفض وتجنب المواد المضافة. يمكن أن يؤدي استهلاك الفوسفور بشكل كبير، جنبًا إلى جنب مع انخفاض استهلاك الكالسيوم، إلى التأثير السلبي على صحة العظام والتنظيم الهرموني. المواد المضافة من الفوسفات الغير عضوي تصنف كآمنة، ولكنها تفتقر اعتمادها بصوره جيده قبل استخدامها بشكل كبير في الاسواق. يمكن أن يسهم الاستخدام المفرط لهذه المواد المضافة في حدوث مشكلات صحية، مما يستدعي استجابة الدوله للاهتمام بهذه المشكله. |
