Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc)-Cairo University, 2025. Summary: Purpose: The main purpose of this study is to investigate how artificial intelligence (AI) may change the organizational structure. Methodology: A quantitative approach was adopted; therefore, a questionnaire was designed and developed to study the relationship between the constructs. 250 valid questionnaires were collected through the non- probability/purposive sampling technique from top managers and heads of departments from Information and Communication Technology (ICT) companies in Egypt. SPSS and SmartPLS software was used to analyze the collected data. Findings: The results indicate that artificial intelligence (automation, augmentation) positively impacts the structural dimensions (formalization, centralization, complexity). Originality: There is a research gap in investigating the relationship between AI and organizational structure empirically. This study fills a research gap by investigating the impact of a new form of technology, artificial intelligence, on the organizational structure. Theoretical implications: This study contributes to the management literature by empirically investigate the relationship between AIand organizational structure. Also, it utilizes newly developed dimensions to measure AI and revisit a topic that developed in a pre-digital era in a new context. Practical implications: The results of this study may attract the manager’s attention to create structure that supports AI by taking into consideration both AI automation and augmentation when designing their processes. Also, by integrating both automation and augmentation to reduce formalization, centralization, and complexity to be more adaptive to the dynamic environment. This study may also assist Egypt in achieving its digital transformation visions for 2030.Summary: اﻟﮭﺪف: اﻟﻐﺮض اﻟﺮﺋﯿﺴﻲ ﻟﮭﺬه اﻟﺪراﺳﺔ ھﻮ اﻟﺘﺤﻘﻖ ﻣﻦ ﻛﯿﻒ ﯾﻤﻜﻦ ﻟﻠﺬﻛﺎء اﻻﺻﻄﻨﺎﻋﻲ ﺗﻐﯿﯿﺮ اﻟﮭﯿﻜﻞ اﻟﺘﻨﻈﯿﻤﻲ. اﻟﻤﻨﮭﺠﯿﺔ: ھﺬه اﻟﺪراﺳﺔ ﺗﺘﺒﻨﻰ اﻟﻤﻨﻈﻮر اﻟﻜﻤﻲ ﻟﺬﻟﻚ ﺗﻢ ﺗﺼﻤﯿﻢ وﺗﻄﻮﯾﺮ اﺳﺘﺒﯿﺎن ﻟﺪراﺳﺔ اﻟﻌﻼﻗﺔ ﺑﯿﻦ اﻟﻤﺘﻐﯿﺮات. ﺣﯿﺚ ﺗﻢ ﺗﺠﻤﯿﻊ 250 اﺳﺘﺒﯿﺎن ﺻﺎﻟﺢ ﻟﻠﺘﺤﻠﯿﻞ ﻣﻦ ﺧﻼل ﻋﯿﻨﺔ ﻏﯿﺮ اﺣﺘﻤﺎﻟﯿﺔ ھﺎدﻓﺔ ﻣﻦ ﻣﺪراء اﻟﺸﺮﻛﺎت ورؤﺳﺎء اﻷﻗﺴﺎم اﻟﻌﺎﻣﻠﯿﻦ ﻓﻲ ﺷﺮﻛﺎت ﻗﻄﺎع ﺗﻜﻨﻮﻟﻮﺟﯿﺎ اﻟﻤﻌﻠﻮﻣﺎت واﻻﺗﺼﺎﻻت ﻓﻲ ﻣﺼﺮ. .SmartPLSو SPSS وﻟﺘﺤﻠﯿﻞ اﻟﺒﯿﺎﻧﺎت اﻟﻤﺠﻤﻌﺔ ﺗﻢ اﺳﺘﺨﺪام ﺑﺮاﻣﺞ اﻟﺘﺤﻠﯿﻞ اﻹﺣﺼﺎﺋﻲ اﻟﻨﺘﺎﺋﺞ: ﺗﺸﯿﺮ اﻟﻨﺘﺎﺋﺞ إﻟﻰ أن اﻟﺬﻛﺎء اﻻﺻﻄﻨﺎﻋﻲ (اﻷﺗﻤﺘﺔ، اﻟﺪﻋﻢ) ﺗﺆﺛﺮ ﺑﺸﻜﻞ إﯾﺠﺎﺑﻲ ﻋﻠﻰ أﺑﻌﺎد اﻟﮭﯿﻜﻞ اﻟﺘﻨﻈﯿﻤﻲ (اﻟﺮﺳﻤﯿﺔ، اﻟﻤﺮﻛﺰﯾﺔ، اﻟﺘﻌﻘﯿﺪ). اﻷﺻﺎﻟﺔ اﻟﻌﻠﻤﯿﺔ: ﯾﻮﺟﺪ ﻓﺠﻮة ﺑﺤﺜﯿﺔ ﺗﻄﺒﯿﻘﯿﺔ ﻓﻲ دراﺳﺔ اﻟﻌﻼﻗﺔ ﺑﯿﻦ اﻟﺬﻛﺎء اﻻﺻﻄﻨﺎﻋﻲ واﻟﮭﯿﻜﻞ اﻟﺘﻨﻈﯿﻤﻲ، ھﺪﻓﺖ ھﺬه اﻟﺪراﺳﺔ إﻟﻰ ﺳﺪ اﻟﻔﺠﻮة اﻟﻌﻠﻤﯿﺔ ﻓﻲ اﻷدﺑﯿﺎت ﻣﻦ ﺧﻼل دراﺳﺔ ﺗﺄﺛﯿﺮ ﻧﻮع ﺟﺪﯾﺪ ﻣﻦ اﻟﺘﻜﻨﻮﻟﻮﺟﯿﺎ وھﻮ اﻟﺬﻛﺎء اﻻﺻﻄﻨﺎﻋﻲ ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﮭﯿﻜﻞ اﻟﺘﻨﻈﯿﻤﻲ. اﻟﺘﺄﺛﯿﺮ اﻟﻨﻈﺮي: ھﺬه اﻟﺪراﺳﺔ ﺗﺴﺎھﻢ ﻓﻲ أدﺑﯿﺎت اﻹدارة ﻣﻦ ﺧﻼل دراﺳﺔ اﻟﻌﻼﻗﺔ ﺑﯿﻦ اﻟﺬﻛﺎء اﻻﺻﻄﻨﺎﻋﻲ واﻟﮭﯿﻜﻞ اﻟﺘﻨﻈﯿﻤﻲ ﺗﻄﺒﯿﻘﯿﺎ، أﯾﻀﺎ ﻣﻦ ﺧﻼل اﺳﺘﺨﺪام أﺑﻌﺎد ﺗﻢ ﺗﻄﻮﯾﺮھﺎ ﺣﺪﯾﺜﺎ ﻟﻘﯿﺎس اﻟﺬﻛﺎء اﻻﺻﻄﻨﺎﻋﻲ و إﻋﺎدة دراﺳﺔ ﻣﻮﺿﻮع ﺗﻢ ﺗﻄﻮﯾﺮه ﻓﻲ ﻋﺼﺮ ﻣﺎ ﻗﺒﻞ اﻟﺮﻗﻤﯿﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺳﯿﺎق ﺟﺪﯾﺪ. اﻟﺘﺄﺛﯿﺮ اﻟﺘﻄﺒﯿﻘﻲ: ﻧﺘﺎﺋﺞ ھﺬه اﻟﺪراﺳﺔ ﯾﻤﻜﻦ أن ﺗﻠﻔﺖ اﻧﺘﺒﺎه اﻟﻤﺪراء إﻟﻰ ﺗﺼﻤﯿﻢ اﻟﮭﯿﻜﻞ اﻟﺘﻨﻈﯿﻤﻲ اﻟﺬي ﯾﺪﻋﻢ اﻟﺬﻛﺎء اﻻﺻﻄﻨﺎﻋﻲ ﻣﻦ ﺧﻼل اﻷﺧﺬ ﻓﻲ اﻻﻋﺘﺒﺎر اﻷﺗﻤﺘﺔ واﻟﺘﻌﺰﯾﺰ ﻋﻨﺪ ﺗﺼﻤﯿﻢ اﻟﮭﯿﻜﻞ اﻟﺘﻨﻈﯿﻤﻲ. ودﻣﺞ اﻻﺗﻤﺘﺔ واﻟﺘﻌﺰﯾﺰ ﻟﺘﻘﻠﯿﻞ درﺟﺔ اﻟﺮﺳﻤﯿﺔ واﻟﻤﺮﻛﺰﯾﺔ واﻟﺘﻌﻘﯿﺪ ﻟﺘﻜﻮن أﻛﺜﺮ ﺗﻜﯿﻔﺎ ﻣﻊ اﻟﺒﯿﺌﺔ اﻟﺪﯾﻨﺎﻣﯿﻜﯿﺔ. ھﺬه اﻟﺪراﺳﺔ ﯾﻤﻜﻦ أن ﺗﺴﺎﻋﺪ أﯾﻀﺎ ﻣﺼﺮ ﻓﻲ ﺗﺤﻘﯿﻖ رؤﯾﺔ اﻟﺘﺤﻮل اﻟﺮﻗﻤﻲ 2030.

Purpose: The main purpose of this study is to investigate how artificial intelligence (AI) may change the organizational structure.
