This study aims to analyze the translation techniques employed by Mohamed El Fouly in the Arabic version of El autodidacta, a novel written by Chilean author Hernán Rivera Letelier and published in 2019. The work presents a particularly complex translation challenge, as it is written in Chilean Spanish marked by a high level of difficulty, rich in idiomatic expressions, colloquial phrases, and regional locutions specific to the Chilean pampa. Additionally, the frequent use of mining-related terminology adds another layer of difficulty to the translation process

في هذا البحث، نسعى إلى إجراء تحليل لتقنيات الترجمة التي اعتمدها المترجم محمد الفولي في النسخة العربية من رواية العصامي، وهي رواية للمؤلف التشيلي إيرنان ريفيرا ليتيلير والتي نُشرت عام 2019. وتُعد هذه الرواية من الأعمال الأدبية التي تشكّل تحديًا خاصًا في الترجمة، كونها مكتوبة بالإسبانية التشيلية التي تتميز بدرجة عالية من الصعوبة، وتزخر بالتعبيرات الاصطلاحية، والتعبيرات العامة، والعبارات المحلية المرتبطة بثقافة البامبا التشيلية. ويُضاف إلى ذلك استخدام المصطلحات المستمدة من مجال التعدين، الأمر الذي يضفي مستوى إضافيًا من التعقيد على عملية الترجمة.
