The first chapter deals with the vocabulary that refers to the garden and its workers and questions about the garden’s designer. While the second chapter deduces garden design standards through describing and analyzing antiquities, texts, and inscriptions, the impact of environmental, religious, and functional factors on those standards. The third chapter presents a practical application of these standards by proposing to revive the garden of the archaeological site of the Karnak temple complex.
