هدف البحث الحالى إلى إعداد برنامج لتنمية بعض المهارات قبل الأكاديمية لذوي متلازمة داون، والتحقق من فاعليه البرنامج القائم على العلاج الوظيفي لدى عينه من ذوي متلازمة داون، والكشف عن مدى استمرارية فاعلية البرنامج بعد الانتهاء من تطبيقه، وخلال فترة المتابعة وتكونت عينة البحث من (20) من اطفال ذوي متلازمة داون ممن حصلوا على درجه منخفضة على مقياس السلوك التكيفي ومقياس المهارات قبل الاكاديمية ممن تتراوح أعمارهم (7-9) سنوات عمر زمنى، و(55-69) درجة ذكاءعمر عقلي، واستخدم البحث المنهج شبه التجريبي (التصميم القبلي -البعدى لمجموعتين إحداهما تجريبية والْاخرى ضابطة)، وطبقت الباحثة عددا من الأدوات هى :مقياس ستانفورد – بينيه للذكاء "الصورة الخامسة" اقتباس وإعداد/ محمود أبو النيل، ومحمد طه، وعبد الموجود عبد السميع (2011)، مقياس فاينلاند للسلوك التكيفي "نسخـة المقابلـة - الصـورة المسحـيـة" تعريب وتقنين/ بنـدر بن نـاصـر العـتيبـي (2004)، مقياس المهارات قبل الأكاديمية لدى الأطفال ذوي متلازمة داون (إعداد/ الباحثة)، استماره دراسة الحالة (إعداد الباحثة)، برنامج قائم على أنشطة العلاج الوظيفي في تنمية المهارات قبل الأكاديمية لدى الأطفال ذوي متلازمة داون (إعداد/ الباحثة)، واْظهرت النتائج فاعلية البرنامج القائم على العلاج الوظيفي لتنمية بعض المهارات قبل الاكاديمية لدى اْطفال متلازمة داون.

The aim of the current research is to prepare a program to develop some pre-academic skills for people with Down syndrome, verify the effectiveness of the program based on occupational therapy for a sample of people with Down syndrome, and to reveal the extent of the program’s continued effectiveness after the completion of implementation, and during the follow-up period. The research sample consisted of (20) children with Down syndrome who obtained a low score on the Adaptive Behavior Scale and the Pre-Academic Skills Battery, aged (7-9) years,(55-69). The research used the quasi-experimental approach (pre-post design for two groups, one experimental and the other control). The researcher applied several tools: Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale, “Fifth Form”, adapted and prepared by Mahmoud Abu al-Nil, Mohamed Taha, and Abd al-Mawgoud Abd al-Samae (2011), Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales “Interview Version - Survey Form” Translated and Standardized by Bandar Bin Nasser Al-Otaiby (2004), Pre-academic skills battery for children with Down syndrome (prepared by the researcher), case study form (prepared by the researcher), a program based on occupational therapy activities in developing pre-academic skills for children with Down syndrome (prepared by the researcher), The results showed the efficacy of the program based on occupational therapy in developing some pre-academic skills in children with Down syndrome.
