Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Educational Studies - Department of Learning Summary: In a community like ours, where no practice what so ever for foreign languages is done (especially french), students in the facylty of arts french department find themselves unable to communicate fluently in the language they learned for 12 years in school before joining the university and this is due to the wrong and ineffective language learning process in schools as well as universities that is based on weitten and solely written activities. And since the actual trend in learning languages is based on oral proficiency, speaking and communicative skills had to be developed students need to speak their target language with a certain degree of fluency but the problem is lack of exposure to speaking practice in the normal classroom settings. The purpose of this study is to develop students speakin skills by integrating the oral language practice into the learning process through a designed french online oral platform, that means the oral language practice becomes the core of the activity not just dealing with it occasionally
