Dissertation note: Thesis (M.A.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Arts - Department of Spanish Summary: This study is based on an analysis of the impact of increased Arab immigration in Spanish schools for the preparatory phase (basic and compulsory) on the cultural configuration of Spanish teacher, where some statistics show the number of Arab residents in Spain today. As an increasing number of Arab immigrants who arrive in Spain at the moment, especially after a large influx of Syrian refugees to Europe in recent months, not surprisingly, this represents an educational and cultural challenge the Spanish teacher. For the major importance of the research topic, we will focus on the cultural aspect of the challenge of the great Spanish teacher in the prep stage toward the ever-growing Arab students and their integration in the Spanish educational system, and through the use of different theories of cultural studies. The emergence of cultural studies independently was after World War II, in which culture and civilization are two main axes. The field of cultural studies combines political economy, communication, sociology, social theory, literary theory, the theory of the media, cinema, cultural anthropology, philosophy and the study of cultural phenomena in the diverse societies. If we examine the term culture, which comes from the Latin cultus, it is referred to the cultivation of the human spirit and intellectual faculties of man. In general, culture is a kind of social tissue that covers the various forms and expressions of a given society. Therefore, customs, practices, ways of being, rituals, types of dress and behavior standards are topics within the culture
