This research investigates the impact of augmented reality (AR) on
children's understanding and retention of academic material, focusing on
sixth-grade students in Egypt. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the
study compares a control group receiving traditional instruction with an
experimental group utilizing AR-enhanced learning tools. The research aims
to evaluate AR's effectiveness as a comprehension and retention tool,
identify factors influencing the AR experience, and explore the advantages
and disadvantages of AR integration in education.
The research, which has its roots in information processing theory, indicates
that AR improves information encoding and retrieval by offering
multisensory experiences that promote deeper cognitive processing.
According to the study's supported hypotheses, AR considerably improves
children's comprehension and memory of the curriculum.
Results show that exposure to AR content improves comprehension and
retention, as students who used AR content reported higher levels of
engagement and better recall than those who used traditional methods. AR
content's visual richness and interactivity are essential contributors to
comprehension, and emotional engagement has been identified as a crucial
retention component. Alongside drawbacks like technical difficulties and the
requirement for teacher training, the study lists the benefits of AR, such as
enhanced motivation and engagement.
This study adds insightful information to discuss cutting-edge teaching
techniques, emphasizing AR's capacity to alter conventional learning
paradigms and enhance student results.

تبحث هذه الرسالة في تأثير الواقع المعزز على فهم الأطفال للمواد الدراسية واحتفاظهم بها، مع التركيز على طلاب الصف السادس في مصر. باستخدام تصميم شبه تجريبي، تُقارن الدراسة بين مجموعة ضابطة تتلقى تعليمًا تقليديًا ومجموعة تجريبية تستخدم أدوات التعلم المُعززة بالواقع المعزز. يهدف البحث إلى تقييم فعالية الواقع المعزز كأداة للفهم والاحتفاظ بالمعلومات، وتحديد العوامل المؤثرة على تجربة الواقع المعزز، واستكشاف مزايا وعيوب دمج الواقع المعزز في التعليم.
يشير البحث، الذي يستند إلى نظرية معالجة المعلومات، إلى أن الواقع المعزز يُحسّن تخزين المعلومات واسترجاعها من خلال توفير تجارب متعددة الحواس تُعزز المعالجة المعرفية العميقة. ووفقًا لفرضيات الدراسة، يُحسّن الواقع المعزز بشكل كبير فهم الأطفال للمنهج الدراسي وذاكرتهم له.
تُظهر النتائج أن التعرض لمحتوى الواقع المعزز يُحسّن فهم وتذكر المعلومات، حيث أوضحت الرسالة أن الطلاب الذين استخدموا محتوى الواقع المعززحصلوا على مستويات أعلى و أفضل في التفاعل وتذكر المعلومات من أولئك الذين استخدموا الطرق التقليدية. يُعدّ الثراء البصري والتفاعلي لمحتوى الواقع المعزز عاملين أساسيين في الفهم، كما حُدّد التفاعل العاطفي كعامل أساسي في استبقاء المعلومات. إلى جانب عيوب الواقع المعزز، مثل الصعوبات التقنية ومتطلبات تدريب المعلمين، تُعدد الدراسة فوائد الواقع المعزز، مثل تعزيز الدافعية والمشاركة.
تُضيف هذه الدراسة معلومات ثاقبة لمناقشة أحدث تقنيات التدريس، مُؤكدةً على قدرة دمج الواقع المعزز مع نماذج التعلم التقليدية وتحسين نتائج الطلاب.
