Ketorolac tromethamine is a potent non steroidal anti - inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is widely used in treatment of moderate to sever pain. It was reported that ketorolac produces its analgesic activity via inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. However, due to its high potency, it has been proposed that this drug has another mechanism of action such as nitric oxide release. ketorolac tromethamine fast dissolving tablets were developed using direct compression method with the addition of superdisintegrants. Three types of superdisintegrants namely croscaramellose sodium, crospovidone and sodium starch glycolate were incorporated in tablets formulation
